Onwards!

News Update

It has been sometime since I have written a blog. What has taken me away from writing on here is my next book, which I am currently writing and editing at the same time. I will do a full edit in December.  It will be published this year. I have no intention of publishing it the following year. The book is taking me a lot longer then I had first anticipated. I have to write a blurb as well.

The next three books, including the one I am currently writing are very important to me. So I hope all goes good and that they will be received well by readers.

I have also been working on an audio book which will be due out next year.

Random Thoughts

I do not know about how other writers write, but for me I find that very late at night or the small hours of the morning suits me best. I find that sometimes in a half sleep state I take a jotter and write down random notes just a short time after waking. I find the woolly state of my mind,  to be of some benefit to my writing.

I have written too, by candlelight in the quiet of the night and during the hours of sunrise, I can be found at my laptop or scribbling on paper at my writing table. I surround myself with things that inspire me. Generally it is vintage books, a single candle in its holder with droplets of wax adhered to the side of the candle, roses or cottage flowers in a vase. I play harpischord, baroque, and other classical music on low volume in the background from time to time.
